A student can be doing everything right — top of the class, teachers who believe in them — and still not finish. Where a household is stretched thin, school ends up competing with more immediate things, and the immediate things tend to win.
That is not a failure of the family. It is what happens when there is no slack anywhere. Rent is now; a diploma is later. Being brilliant at school has never once paid a landlord.
So rather than ask a family to choose differently, we make the choice less sharp. Cover what the household is short of each month, and a student who is already doing the work gets to carry on doing it.

About 90,000 calories, complete protein, and hygiene support for an entire household, every month — and one less thing competing with school.
How it works
The support goes to the household, not to the student. That is deliberate: the pressure that interrupts a child’s schooling sits on the household budget, so the household budget is where it has to be lifted. A prize handed to a child leaves the actual problem exactly where it was.
Families show the school’s own record — a report card each term. The students in this program are at the top of their class, and staying there is how the support continues. We ask for nothing the school does not already issue, because a program that costs a family a day of lost pay to apply for is not support.
We work through schools and trusted local partners, who know the student and the household both. They are the ones who can tell us which student is at risk of not finishing — which is the moment this has to arrive.

Are donations tax-deductible?
Yes. Nydus Foundation is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization (EIN: 33-3449382). All donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. You will receive a receipt for your donation that you can use for tax purposes.
